Portable Radio P.O.V. #7 – What is a good age for kids to get cell phones? [3:10]

CBC’s Ottawa Morning aired this P.O.V. on March 19, 2008.

This week 5/6JS and 5/6NT read an article about a cell phone company in Europe that is marketing its phones to kids 5 years old. We read the article and watched several news stories about the issue of when are kids old enough to have their own cell phones. Listen to hear our opinions on the subject.

    i aqgree 100% that kids should get cell phones at a young age.

    Hey!
    We’re from Ms.Boxer’s class from ACES! We think that kids 11 and up should be able to have a cell phone because us younger kids can be responsible like a 18 year old and some parents trust us with this kind of stuff!!!
