Leo Brooks makes frame drums with students [2:14]

Filed Under (Video) by Nathan Toft on 05-05-2008

A few weeks ago, drum builder/musician Leo Brooks worked with the students to create frame drums similar to those used by the aboriginals. In this video, he demonstrates how to attach the goat skin to the frame.

It was very interesting to watch you make drums.
It must be very annoying to put in the strings in.
It most be hard to work with goat skin when it’s wet.
thats a very interesting string pattern to make the drums.

We think that it’s neet how you attach the goat skin to the frame. It most be hard to put the stings in place. But it most be a very interesting pattern to make with the strings. I wish that me and my partner could learn how to do that. But also good luck trying to make more of them. But good luck with the next drum.

We liked the video. We liked it because we like music. We also liked it because we like to drum. We liked it because now we know how to make a drum. We also liked it because we like to make things.
