Students in Mrs.Smith’s 5/6 give their opinions on what qualities make for a good prime minister.
CBC Radio’s Ottawa Morning aired our P.O.V. on Friday, October 10 just before 7 am. Great job guys!
We enjoyed listening to all of your great ideas on what traits a good prime minister should have. Thanks for sharing this with us!!
Hello Kids,
I was listening to your broadcast last week, about the qualities that make a good prime minister. I was very impressed by your entertaining, value-filled, and informative broadcast. Well done!
I have one form of constructive criticism for you:
As I was reflecting on the things you said, I couldn’t help but notice that a few speakers referred to a prime minister as ‘he’. This implies that a prime minister is to be considered a man. The trouble with this implication is that it leaves out the real possibility that a prime minister could be a woman. Thoughtful people need to realize that the words they choose leave an impression in peoples’ minds. Using inclusive language helps people to know that they are included, and not just ‘assumed’ to be included.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this point. Keep up the good work!

A good prime minister needs to know how the people feel. But also needs to know whats going in the coutry.
A good prime minister needs to know the people in the country. He also needs to have a good attitude when talking in public. A prime minster should also have good government stratigies.
We think that Mrs Smiths class did a good job on saying what they think about Canada. I agree with them about the kids having more parks and places to hang around. We also think that the kids did a good job saying what they think about the Prim Minister. We also think that the schools should have the entertainment like parties.
