Good Morning 5/6 JS
I have just finished listening to your Point of View about Remembrance Day.I particularly enjoyed how you made reference to grandparents who had fought in various world conflicts. You were able to convey through that personal aspect an understanding for how such events shape people’s lives and affect our country. I think the point expressed about “remembering all year long” is a goal for all of us. I hope you find the Remembrance Day ceremony in the gym today to be thought-provoking.

I am in the Maritimes and growing up here no one ever spoke of the Halifax explosion I guess it was just too hurtful to talk about like coming home from war. I never knew about that terrible day in Halifax until I was well grown up. Great job by Katie keeping history alive–Catherine

I can certainly understand why this grade 5-6 would love going to school. I taught school for 32 years and would have enjoyed spending time in this class room.—Catherine
